Clay Pots, Crack Pots and Priceless Treasure
A lot of people carry some pretty heavy baggage around concerning the organized church. In many respects, the organized church deserves much of its own bad press. It is ironic that the church which Jesus founded to connect people to God, has often served as a reason for people to disconnect from God.
In my message series “Clay Pots, Crack Pots and Priceless Treasure” I recognize the church for what it is, “An earthen vessel that caries the priceless treasure of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I will make no attempts to rationalize the sordid and bloody history of organized religion…in fact I am not talking about religion at all. I am talking about finding a personal connection with a Holy God through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
I believe in the church! Not because she is perfect but because she was ordained by Christ, is empowered by the Holy Spirit and is commissioned to reach the world. Join me in May and June for a look at what the church can truly be and how you can be a part of God’s work in this world. You will be amazed!
